BLACK PEOPLE WILL BE FINE IN THE TRUMP (ERA) ERROR

by Rahk Hamilton

With the recent election still f**king a lot of people's heads up, the question that we as black people need to ask ourselves is what does it mean for us. I specifically say us, as black people, and not as people of color, because if it's one thing that we learned in this most recent campaign as well as in the time leading up to it, is that the whole notion of a coalition has been a silly joke, and the joke was on us. From the Asian community, working to strike down affirmative action, using the notion of taking something away from black people and getting it for themselves, all the way to the fact that George Floyds death managed to not get black people a hate crime law, but managed to get the Asian community one.

Look at the fact that latino people, specifically dominicans and cubans, have always had a the anti-black spice baked into all their homemade bread, so much so that the black people in that community either totally deny their blackness or are so delusional that they look in a mirror and see the Cleavers looking back at them despite the fact that their grandma looks like Florida Evan's sister Georgia Jenkins.

We have harshly been taught a lesson, that we have been taught many many and I mean many MANY times. That we are alone in this struggle. Every single group in this country that benefits from any type of civil rights has gotten those rights due to the hard work and struggle by my black ancestors, and today those same groups look down on black people, and that is because that system rewarded our work by enabling other groups to surpass us.

Red-lining put those asian, arab and latin stores in our community. They were granted property loans and start up loans provided they put their business in our communities and what do they do with their money? Our money!? They take it back to build up their community. There are very few of them in our public schools, yet they own land in cities that are predominately black, and vote to keep property taxes low, so they can collect that high rent, and keep our schools running on the minimum amount of money. Why? Because they don't care about us. We are a resource to be mined to them. The miner doesn't care about the diamond. He only has interest in selling it.

Well now, we can step back and realize, that the hard work of our forefathers and foremothers is now going to show itself, as unlike other communities, we have pillars and infrastructure to combat the tsunami or racially motivated actions that are about to take place. There is no asian equivalent to HBCU's in the arab world, or the Cuban community. So we get to sit back on our ebony glass mountains eating our popcorn as community after community gets reminded.

Remember black people, we are not the target. The enemy of black progress has now decided that black progress is not the immediate threat. We are not the ones who threaten the creatures of white-supremacy with the most tactile of data...NUMBERS. We are not the ones who are on the front of the row of their great replacement theory obsessions. And, as we are not at all in danger, and are smartly no longer motivated to fight other people's wars, this is the perfect time for us as a community to fix ourselves and our issues. To remove ourselves from being dependent on other communities for our stores and services and to finally start working together.

We are the ones with the strength to handle this coming storm, but most importantly we are the ones with the experience. As for those other communities, the ones that voted how they voted, well enjoy your choice. As for those who resemble us, but act as if they are not in the ranks, well don't let them rejoin the ranks after the smoke clears. They picked their ship, let them go down with it. The rest of us, have four years were we will not be a priority of help, but we are also not a priority of harm, so let's take advantage of that situation. For once, they are the shield, and white supremacy cannot see the forest for the trees that eat tacos.
